Forklift Assessments  

Type: Counterbalanced 
         Non-counterbalanced

Trainee Requirements:

  • Assessment must take place onsite (as we do not provide the forklift)

  • Must have an up to date log book with evidence of training

  • Must be 18 years of age and have proof of identification

Assessment Criteria:

  • A theory exam consisting of:

  • 52 questions (manuals are available from the Workcover site)

  • These are made up of 30 compulsory questions and 22 random questions

  • All questions taken from the Workcover instrument

  • Theory will be in written form but may be oral if requested

  • A practical driving test consisting of:

  • Pre-operational checks

  • Shifting and stacking load

  • Parking

  • Shutting down equipment

Forklift Safety Awareness Course

Type: Counterbalanced
         Non-counterbalanced

Duration:

Duration of the course is approximately four hours for six people depending on the time taken for the open discussion and question period.

Participants:

Operators with a forklift licence, and now need refresher training.
Recommended maximum of 6 participants per course.
